T his was an event that used displays of different community soup delicacies to ignite the conversation on the right to food. During the various sessions, Leaders from the political class, the technical departments and community members participated in conversation on the barriers they face in addressing their right to food and sited the possible solutions to these barriers.  The engagement of political actors afforded HOLC an opportunity to advocate for policy engagement to improve the Right to Food. Household of Love Centre holds the opinion that the success of these conversation is dependent on   all stakeholders playing their part of the puzzle in the right to food conversation.

The Soup event itself was made of sampled soups from 5 key communities of Kenya namely Kikuyu, luo, Kisii, luhya and the Nubi community. The soup taking in itself is a social opportunity to interact and address food issues within their specific culture.
During this function, some of the participants had the opportunity to exhibit and sell their wares. The range of food items in display showed the richness and nutritious food found and eaten in the local target community.
